Running day to day operations of generator fleet making sure the equipment is serviced, tested and ready for hire. I also have to manage a utility network contract with strick SLA times. Visiting site to sync generators to the grid using dse 7570 grid lock box. Also have to make sure theunder repair program is being met so we always have a strong and reliable retail fleet.

After finishing my education at vale of Catmose collage in 1996 i started my 5 year apprenticeship at Powerplant Oakham working on a rental generators were i learnt how to service, fault find, load test and maintain ready for hire. I also was trained to work in the field servicing and repairing customers generators. As the company (powerplant) grow i relocated to Stamford to a bigger factory where we started to manufacture generators to Africa.this is were I started to learn how to wire engines, control panels and ATS panels.At this present time I have worked myself from starting as an apprentice to workshop supervisor, were now I oversee a work force which covers manufacturing, repair work to hire fleet, customer repair and also train our apprenticeship employees. I also look after onsite projects were i have to site visit to design and install prime power or stand-by power to places like airports, hospitals, banks and data centers. I have worked overseas in Kenya were I commissioned a 3.75mw standby generator package in Akha khan hospital and in Dhaka to sort out a problem with two 500kva sync sets.I all so have designed control panels for are rental fleet which are capable of paralleling to the grid using deep sea electronics 8610 and G59 relays and the use of deep sea electronics 7570 sync lock box.
