Over 3 years experience of developing complex BI solutions using Cognos Report Studio 8.4 platform for this large multinational FTSE 250 company. I provide solutions, primarily for the Finance team, but often work on reporting projects for Commercial Planning and Stock teams. During forecasting and budgeting periods of the year I am a key figure in providing data for finance members looking into Balance Sheet and P&L. In the absence of a Data Warehouse I have gained 2 years experience of creating new / adapting existing Framework Manager models based on Cognos Contributor models to produce reporting packages.Over 3 years experience of report writing using Business Objects. Largest project I've worked on relates to the 'Get Connected' scheme where a customer can obtain a free laptop if they choose to sign up for a broadband contract. I was responsible for building reports for the Finance team so they could claw back huge sums of lost monies from the largest mobile phone companies with reliable evidence. I learned how to import items into the BO universe designer and had some exposure to SQL.Selected as one of thirty super users to receive training on the new SAP Web Intelligence reporting platform that the company is planning to introduce in 2011. Training also covered Xcelsius and Crystal Reporting. · Following the success of my Product Data Sheet project I was put forward to take the role as the Cognos report author. Here I gained my first 2 years experience of Cognos Report Net and wrote over 80 reports for various users across the business such as Sales Managers, Directors, Customer Care team members.· Largest project was to create a Quality report for Monthly management meetings. Using drill through capabilities I was able to produce a comprehensive piece of work, which contained summary levels of data allowing for access to individual incidents. Particularly powerful when senior managers in the meetings are raising questions. This work also proved vital when nuts appeared in non-nut products and helped build a picture of events leading to a national product recall.· Holding training sessions – Powerplay Cubes tips for users, general report applications.

Developing and Completing Complex Large Scale Projects The production of an Excel-based, interactive Product Data Sheet allowing users to locate data in one central source, containing information vital to the business. This is accessible to everyone in the company and is referred to daily. Originally only designed to replace the QC manual, its success has replaced all previous versions used by individual departments.Trend AnalysisProduced complaint trend reports for large, supermarket retailers and in-house QC reports for senior management to help them focus on problem areas such as foreign bodies, packing & production faults.

Raw material intake testing, checkweigher calibration, product analysis. Performed daily hygiene audits and presented to people in the Daily Ops Meetings.

Created certificates of conformity for goods providing statistical/analytical performance data for management meetings, and acting on defect and complaint reports.

Working well under pressureResponsible for managing stock levels and purchase ordering. Daily contact with suppliers from Europe, China and the Philippines. Workload/role far exceeded the implied job title. Provided customers with necessary documentation such as letters of credit, VAT deferment authorisation and original certificates, as well as being responsible for entering goods onto system and overseeing 6 monthly stocktakes.

Supervised / Team Leader. Following a successful short period within the frozen food area of the business, my duties expanded to looking after all dairy products. Responsibilities included stock and order control, controlling wastage and supervising a team of 6 staff.
