OESC is the unemployment office for the State of Oklahoma, which was swamped at the beginning of the pandemic with claims. They hired remote workers to handle claimant calls to file for benefits and rectify issues that often arise. I started as a phone agent, but was promoted to Team Supervisor within six weeks, and have served in this role for over a year with high praise. My Team has been around 25 agents, with fluctuations. My team also is among the leaders in Quality Assurance scoring. With the end of Federal expanded unemployment benefits, the State will be downsizing to its pre-pandemic levels during the next several months. I have found this job to be rewarding in delivering these vital benefits to claimants during this extremely challenging time, and my management experience and communication skills have come into play every day on the job.

The board and the president worked to put on 8-10 programs each year, bringing in noted speakers in the field of graphic art, design, commercial photography, illustration, etc. Included promotion of events, recruiting sponsors, event logistics, managing budgets, building membership, and securing new board members. As president, I coordinated the activities of all board members, and conducted the speaker events, and various other duties. Volunteer.
