UKIB is a new, government-owned policy bank, launched in June 2021, providing £22bn of infrastructure finance and partnering with the private sector and local government to finance a green industrial revolution and drive growth across the country.- Monitor progress on key projects, engage with project sponsors and equity fund managers and use specialist expertise to identify when projects are at risk and as needed be accountable for accurately implementing the appropriate and necessary mitigating action to protect the interests of the Bank.- Provide expert portfolio analysis, identify concentration risks, propose risk mitigation strategies and accurately monitor portfolio returns to successfully meet the objectives of the Portfolio Management team and the wider mission of the Bank.- Build internal models, interrogate external models, provide support to the team with sensitivity analysis, analysing outputs and performing high-level due diligence of financial models so as to ensure risks are managed and problems identified early.- Attend site visits and engage with the respective management team and effectively scrutinise management to ensure the project is performing as per the business plan.- Negotiate and coordinate any required documentation, test covenant compliance, test future financial projections and financial accounts to ensure that deals remain financially sound and aligned to the mission and objectives of UKIB.- prepare reports for Investment Committee and Credit Committee to inform the Committees about the risks presented by new projects, how those risks should be mitigated and how pricing should be structured

BlackRock is a global leader in investment management, risk management and advisory services for institutional and retail clients. My key responsibilities in this role are:- oversee the quarterly valuation of Blackrock's unlisted Infrastructure investments- covering both debt and equity positions, my focus is on infrastructure and renewables encompassing both standalone investments and equity stakes in trading companies- prepare materials to be provided to the Valuation Committee and presenting findings to Pricing Committees and other management as necessary- manage workflow of data to 3rd party valuation firms- working with investment and portfolio management teams to ensure all relevant information is incorporated into valuations- review legal documents to determine rights associated with new securities purchased- liaise with independent auditors providing support for valuations

Dalmore Capital is an independent fund management company that acquires, manages and holds infrastructure assets, to deliver long term value for investors.My role encompassed:- operate as shareholder representative as Director on the board of investee companies- oversee the semi-annual valuation of all Dalmore investments- identify and deliver value enhancement opportunities from existing investments- analyse and report on Fund yield and IRR forecasting. - develop, and monitor progress against, Fund level business plans- prepare papers for Investment Committee approval as required

The Loans Management team is responsible for managing the Bank’s portfolio of Infrastructure projects post execution in order to maximise their value and minimise risk, and to ensure flexibility for balance sheet management.

Ascent, a Joint Venture between Lockheed Martin and VT Group, was the winning bidder on the £7bn UK Military Flight Training Scheme PFI Project.

The Project Finance team was responsible for originating and structuring debt funding and risk capital investments in economic and social infrastructure projects via government PFI/PPP and similar projects in the UK and Europe.

The team was a middle office function providing a link between the back office administration function and the front office fund managers.
