I joined Room to Read as a Program Associate on 22nd February 2007. Between February 2007 and July 2008, I was the single supporting staff for the start-up of Asia Regional Office, which oversees the work of 7 Room to Read countries in Asia 3 countries in South Africa. From the inception of the Asia Regional Office, I have been responsible for all aspects of Office setup and management. I have also demonstrated sincere commitment and flexibility to support the needs of various staff and consultants in the office, which grew from 3 to over 30 since my joining. I also have wide exposure to the culture and customs of staff from 7 Asian and 2 African countries, with whom, I have developed strong professional relationships over the years. I am willing to work as long and hard as required to accomplish tasks assigned to me and have even stayed overnight at work on crucial occasions. My strengths are in using basic Microsoft Programs, event planning, office administration assistance, coordination and correspondence with external (in-country and outside country) agencies, and management of day to day business operations. Therefore, I am familiar with the working environment of government systems as well.
