The findings from this study now form the backbone of physical training for helicopter pilots within the UK Armed Forces.• Seconded to the Royal Navy to lead the rehabilitation of the UK Nuclear Deterrent at HMNB Clyde. Delivered a new multi-million pound rehabilitation department to bring the Royal Navy to the forefront of military rehabilitation. Mentioned in the January 2013 New Year’s Honours list and awarded the Sea Lord’s Commendation for services to military rehabilitation. • Served at the HQ for NATO in Belgium as Head of European Physical Education, responsible for the 4,500 UK service personnel posted throughout Europe.
