About Gene Perkins

At the age of 78, I teach Chinese people who come to Bowling Green, Kentucky via WKU (Western Kentucky University), in China, and in any place that is interested in what I have to say. In general, I teach leadership, the right way. These are lessons that I learned from Deming, Senge, Dave Guerra, the Bible, companies that I served, and many other sources. These principles make us better leaders in business, home, churches, etc.I have no objectives except to spread the good news.

    Our seventh physician just signed a contract and will begin in late summer. Helping to lead a growing rheumatology practice in northern Colorado. Currently (2012) have four offices in Wheat Ridge, Broomfield, Boulder, and Longmont, Colorado (all north and west of Denver).Sixth physician on board in late August, 2013. Seventh being recruited for 2014. Still pursuing our vision of excellence in service to our patients in the field of rheumatology using the teachings of Deming and of servant leadership. Just completed a trip to China (10/5/2013) where I talked about leadership the right way, met new friends, and renewed acquaintances with "old" friends. Expect to retire as CEO of CCAO in 2014, continuing as a partner. Also hope to finish writing a book on leadership and spreading good news worldwide.

    Retired from active participation at CCAO, but the practice is still growing and improving under the leadership of the current team, with Jeffrey D. Perkins, MD, PhD as the founding partner and CEO. Deming and servant leadership are still key aspects of the continued growth and prosperity of the company. Still attend the annual planning conference and listen in on monthly reviews of key performance measures. Pleased to have been a part of this excellent company.
