The Year 10 SRC Executive plays an important role in supporting the SRC in executing events and initiatives. In Year 10 especially, there is a focus on events such as the junior social, as well as better supporting students with work experience and community service. The Year 10 SRC Executives must also be able to understand the opinions and concerns of the student body and serve as a representative for their Year Level. The Year 10 SRC Executives are selected through a long and arduous process. Firstly, applicants are shortlisted based on a written application, from which they will be invited to an interview with the SRC Cabinet. From there, the shortlisted applicants will then proceed to the stage of campaigning. Applicants are able to set up social media accounts, set up campaign posters, as well as making a speech to the entire cohort. After a ballot vote which follows a preferential voting system, the Year 10 SRC Executives are successfully elected. Year 10 SRC Executives should: • Be able to lead a team of SRC Representatives for the creation of SRC events and initiatives to better support their year level. • Have a coherent understanding of administrative tasks such as writing proposals and chairing meetings.• Be able to strategically plan and set the overarching direction for the Year Level SRC. • Demonstrate a commitment to supporting students and the SRC and a passion for making student-led change• Have an understanding of concerns and opinions of students and ways to empower and embed student voice in school decision making and policies. • Ensure transparency through regular updates of the SRC and progress. • Serve as a liaison between the Year 10 cohort and the SRC.• Demonstrate an ability to liaise with both students, staff, parents and relevant MHS community members.

To run for the position of SRC Form Representative, one does not need to have experience, skills or be popular, because a valuable SRC Form Representative is one who is committed and dedicated. Key responsibilities include:- Attend and contribute at Year Level Committee Meetings, ensuring punctuality and commitment whilst at these meetings. - Consistently update their form with information and updates from the SRC, maintaining transparency. - Promote SRC Events and Initiatives and encourage peers to engage with the SRC. - Support and undertake work for Year Level Committee Initiatives and Events- Attend and support key SRC events and initiatives e.g SRC Training Day, Socials, Reviews- Act as the point of contact between the Year Level Executives and form class.
