George is a contentious insolvency specialist within the London Business Restructuring team at BDO and has over 25 years experience of working with distressed companies and their creditors. Since the early 1990’s George has focussed on complex insolvency and advisory assignments, frequently with a cross border dimension. Many of these cases, particularly in the US, have contributed to George’s extensive experience of litigation within an insolvency context. More recently, George has taken responsibility for the preparation of several expert witness reports in connection with matters involving civil litigation, extradition and a professional disciplinary proceedings.George has been involved in many large and high profile assignments, including the US aspects of the Maxwell and Lehmans administrations, and MG Rover Germany, as well as numerous restructuring assignments. He played a leading role in the development of Entity Priority Models, which have become the industry standard tool for analysing returns to stakeholders under various scenarios and assisting in the planning of potential recovery options.George is qualified as a Chartered Accountant and holds an Insolvency Licence.Specialties: Business restructuring, insolvency (including contentious and cross border).
