I am a very driven and creative professional Solidworks designer. After years of "designing" at home with MS Paint, I took the plunge while in college to learn AutoCAD. I completely fell in love with designing. My first job post-college was designing steel handling equipment where I needed to learn Solidworks. My passion deepened immensely! I began designing at home in my free time and I also became involved 3D printing. After 11 months with the steel company, a dip in the industry led to layoffs. A former college professors of mine who had began working as VP of operations with a firearms manufacturer (PTR) had been trying to recruit me for some time, so I gave him a call from the parking lot of the steel equipment manufacturer. I was unemployed for two hours. That was in December of 2015, and I have been with PTR ever since. The company has grown so much through the years, and I have thoroughly enjoyed being able to utilize my creativity so extensively. Almost a decade later I am just as ate up with designing as I was when I first started (if not more).I am certainly one of the lucky ones who can say that they truly love what they do (CAD design). My wife and I however, are ready for a new chapter in our lives. With our children being grown and having little reason to remain in the area we are looking to escape the busy life around us in a toxic area and relocate to a small town near the Smoky Mountains that we have grown to love. So, with this comes the search to continue my passion with designing. I am seeking professional employment as a remote Solidworks designer. I am dependable and highly detail oriented. I am also loyal and not looking for a short stint. If you are looking for a designer for the long-haul, I'm worth your attention.
