I am fortunate to work in a role that allows me to meet a wide range of people from different industries and be given the opportunity to help them learn and develop. I love facilitating a process where individuals develop their skills by trying out different techniques, sharing experiences and working out how to put it into practice - whether it’s to help them feel more confident when they present, better handle a challenging team member or communicate more effectively in meetings (to name just a few examples.) For me, it’s not about being prescriptive - putting up a model or framework and saying “that’s how you need to do it” – it’s about offering up options, encouraging people to try them out to see what works best for them and providing an engaging and safe learning environment in which to do it.I'm proud to be part of Learning Curve - we've worked together for a long time, helping our client organisations become more successful - by offering their people learning and development solutions which encourage them to be more effective in their day to day interactions with others.The year 2020 saw me develop virtual training skills (albeit with a bit of arm twisting), which I continue to use today. I still love delivering face to face, there's nothing quite like being in the same room with a group of people - but I continue to be suprised and delighted by the flexibility, ease, enjoyment and learning that virtual training can also deliver.
