I am currently seeking a position as an educational leader in a district in need of an administrator who is innovative, a quick study, hardworking, loyal, and tenacious. Additional personal characteristics of mine are as follows. I have the ability to create and sustain a collaborative and caring school culture in which both staff and students feel safe, comfortable enough to “think outside of the box” and occasionally take risks. I have the ability to foster teamwork while eliminating the ‘us versus them’ mentality among staff and students thus minimizing patronization and bullying. Such an environment encourages optimal academic, emotional, and social growth. I am an active listener and am reliable, trustworthy and able to keep confidential information. I am student centered, organized and knowledgeable about child developmental milestones. I also know the importance of being a resource and advocate for the staff. I have strong interpersonal skills with a charismatic personality. I feel effective written and oral communication skills are essential in ensuring positive community relations. I am bright, informed, a self-starter, creative, resourceful and current with best practices. I am versatile and have multitasking capability. I recognize the value of empowering teachers as leaders and students as self-advocates. I am able to delegate authority without abdicating responsibility. I possess the ability to focus on detail and the big picture simultaneously, for the benefit of the entire school community.
