In this role, I focused on shaping the organisation's strategic priorities in environmental sustainability. My key responsibilities and achievements included:•Creating a three-year cross-organisational sustainability strategy, encompassing 8 thematic areas and 26 strategic goals.•Designing a year-on-year action plan blueprint for individual teams, and supporting over 10 team managers in drafting their sustainability strategies for the upcoming academic year.•Commissioning an Energy Audit to drive the energy efficiency transformation of the Students' Union building, and assisting four senior staff members in interpreting the findings and planning subsequent actions.•Running workshops and consultations with over 40 staff members to identify barriers and enablers in implementing the Sustainability Strategy.•Delivering a presentation to the trustees board, summarizing my work and outlining plans for future actions.Additional highlights include:•Leading a digital cleanup campaign, resulting in the deletion of data equivalent to 1 ton of CO2.•Hiring a part-time student member of staff to create a social media comms strategy for sustainability and redeveloping the Student Union's sustainability website.•Championing the Students' Union's participation in a reusable cups scheme, projected to save 100,000 disposable cups in its first financial year.

In this role, I spearheaded the engagement of university students with environmental sustainability initiatives. My key contributions included:•Launching a £45k funding scheme for student-led environmental sustainability projects.•Delivering training sessions for students and staff on environmental sustainability principles and actionable tools.•Engaging with over 30 stakeholders to coordinate more than 20 partnership events and engagement stalls focused on environmental sustainability.•Collecting and analyzing over 500 survey responses regarding sustainable attitudes and habits, and utilizing these insights to draft comprehensive summary reports and presentations.•Developing an action plan for establishing an organizational sustainability strategy.

I was elected Student Coordinator for the University of Manchester Politics Peer Mentoring scheme for the academic year 2022-2023. The purpose of my role was to coordinate a cohort of student volunteers in their mentoring activity for first-year students, and facilitate the running of the scheme for my academic course.
