Giuseppe Romano holds a PhD in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Manchester, where his research focused on micromechanical modelling of fibre-hybrid composite laminae. His work involved developing computational models, manufacturing composite laminates, and conducting experimental testing to optimise the behaviour of advanced composite materials.He also earned a Master’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from the University of Calabria, where he conducted a numerical assessment of curing residual stresses in thermosetting composites. As part of his academic journey, he participated in Erasmus+ exchange programmes in Spain and Germany, gaining diverse educational and cultural experiences.Giuseppe is an active member of NAFEMS, the International Association for the Engineering Modelling, Analysis, and Simulation Community, serving as the Italian Regional Representative. In this role, he organises webinars and conferences to promote engineering simulation and knowledge exchange.In addition to his academic achievements, Giuseppe has gained industry experience in projects related to advanced composites, including developing graphene-enhanced materials and optimising spinneret designs for polymer extrusion. His technical expertise spans Python programming, finite element analysis (FEA), and advanced simulation tools.He is passionate about advancing knowledge in composite materials and engineering simulation, contributing to innovation, and collaborating with global experts to address challenges in the field.
