I started my journey in 2008 when I start studying IT at Stockton Riverside College, continuing my education development upto FdSc in Computer Networking studied again at SRC, starting in the summer of 2008 i started work at Rawcliffes developing important customer service skills that would help me towards my overall goal of becoming a Network Engineer/Network Administrator, i have held various roles up until my current position, one of which was working a security operative for the 2012 Olympics and Paralympics. Currently working at Quornfoods Ltd as an IT Support Analyst (Helpdesk Lead) and have done for the past 3 years, having finished my foundation degree I got my first role in the IT industry at Quorn, I was hired as a 1s Line Helpdesk Analyst working alongside the current Helpdesk Lead at the time, I was tasked with the generally day to day 1st Line duties of an IT department. Within a couple of months, the structure of the small IT team at Quorn changed quickly, I was now the sole person on the helpdesk taking on more responsibilities, since then I have worked with 2 other people on the helpdesk, I was given the opportunity to manage the helpdesk as an unofficial Helpdesk Lead, managing the work load of 5 other people, allocating requests to the relevant sub team (2nd Line), providing updates to the Head of IT and running of the helpdesk system.With a keen interest in network technology I have been able to take on the responsibility of managing the network infrastructure at Quorn, this includes switch configurations, network design and monitoring which was previously provided by a Third-Party IT Service Provider.I have also gain a vast amount of experience at Quorn which can be seen within my Job descriptions below and I’ve been able to gain knowledge and experience in a range of technologies, I have also worked on many projects since been here again these will be available below.Currently studying towards CCNA Qualification.I am now a Technology Consultant at a well known North East based Business and IT Consultancy company Waterstons.
