Preformed hypergolic operations in a SCAPE (self-contained atmospheric protective ensembles) suit loading and offloading commodities from the Orbiter and Solid Rocket Motors at the Pads, from the Orbiter at the Orbiter Processing Facilities and from the Orbiter at NASA's Dryden Research facility in California. I was sent to Vandenberg Air Force Base for thirty days to validate the cryogenic vacuum jacketed supply lines at the Shuttle Launch Site at that facility. During the Challenger shut down I was assigned to a Tiger Team at the Orbiter Processing Facilities reviewing and investigating documents. During the return to flight effort for Discovery I was transferred from the Pad to the Orbiter Processing Facilities as an Orbiter Mechanic.
