Responsibilities:• In-vitro screening of antisense oligonucleotides (AONs) as a treatment for Duchenne muscular dystrophy (DMD) by exon skipping.• AON screening by gymnotic uptake or transfections and the downstream processing of samples by RNA isolation and cDNA synthesis.• Validating therapeutic efficacy of AONs by Droplet Digital PCR (ddPCR).• Optimizing mammalian cell culture protocols and setting up in-vitro high-throughput AON screening.• Presenting the data by written reports and oral presentations.• Other techniques used are (q)PCR, Cell Culture (ML-I and ML-II) and Sequencing.
