Rassner retired from Macy's 2008 and realized that his training, strong results, and network of professionals were the perfect foundation for him as President of GMR Consulting Associates, Inc. He also works with national/international consulting firms, including GLG and Patina Solutions. Rassner is a licensed Business Broker, helping principals buy and sell businesses. He was also a Managing Member of Best Brothers Holding Company.As President of Shores of Denmark, an international company in the furniture industry, Rassner used his business experience to maximize revenue and profit.He has been involved in United Way, Goodwill, Habitat for Humanity, Cities-in-Schools, and received an honorary doctorate from the Education Foundation.The Cities of Pembroke Pines and Miami FL honored him with “Glenn M. Rassner Days.” He was featured as the cover story for the Palm Beach Magazine, “Leading a Retail Revolution,” for his impact on customer service. Most recently, he was the VP and Director of Stores, Macy’s Dadeland, with responsibility for $200M and a 1,000 member team. Strategic training was completed at the Federated/Macy’s Accelerated Leadership Institute.He was awarded “Store of the Year” for total Federated Inc. and multiple awards for “Store of the Year” for Florida. Rassner is proud of earning the “Don Erb” award, earned by one executive per year for results, leadership impact, integrity and community service. Similar pride was felt when he earned Eagle Scout.He achieved the best service scores in the country during his first assignment as GM and was named the company’s first VP for Selling Services, responsible for the results of 10,000 Sales Associates. After earning a Business Degree at the University of Miami and while taking MBA courses, Rassner became the youngest buyer for the company at 21. In this assignment, he earned the “Apollo Award” from the Casual Furniture Industry for being the “Buyer of the Year.”
