Born and raised in New York City, Gloria earned her BFA in Graphic Design at SUNY Purchase, where she developed a passion for excellence in design. Over the past 25 years her professional design work has encompassed branding, packaging & marketing materials for highly visible clients including Office Depot, Motorola, Iomega and Altec Lansing, among others. Gloria combines her talents as a visionary artist and creative team leader with her skills as a technically savvy, hands-on Mac designer for a multi-faceted approach to her work. Her award-winning graphic design work has been published in several publications including Graphis, Print and Digital Vision magazines.Since the mid 1990's Gloria worked at Macey Noyes Associates, a nationally known design & marketing firm in Wilton, CT. In 2005, she decided to focus on her own freelance business, Fish Cat Design. Along with her husband, Gary Owens, Gloria has created Lighthouse Maps, a flourishing publishing business that prints over a million tourist information maps a year for towns in Connecticut, as well as an extensive website to support visitors and advertisers alike.
