Proposed, analyzed, designed, coded, debugged, documented, tested, and maintained software for numerous PC-based and embedded-microprocessor projects.• Developed C++/CLI Windows Forms GUI and embedded Altera Nios II application communicating through JTAG UART interface, resulting in architecture simplifying interface code and eliminating separate serial interface.• Added functionality (including a Linux USB interface) to an existing real-time controller consisting of a Windows MFC application communicating via Ethernet UDP with an Intel-architecture SBC running Linux, , improving reliability and increasing throughput 100x. • Developed and maintained 10K lines of C++ Xilinx MicroBlaze code, controlling operation of CIED jammers of which 20K+ were deployed, garnering IEEE Buenaventura Section Project of the Year award.• Developed and maintained related Windows .NET applications, enabling mission data entry, firmware upgrades, and transfer, analysis, and display of logged data.• Developed and maintained operational software, 50K lines of Ada 83 code for TMS320C32 DSP and i386EX CPU in embedded, real-time ECM product while administering Sun Solaris network in support of project team.• Developed and maintained related MS Windows Ada 95 data-entry application, enabling downloads of data and code in proprietary disk format. • When needed to fill in, briefly maintained C/VxWorks software for multiple-CPU/DSP Motorola/VME controller in airport approach radar system.• Implemented coordinate transformations in real-time multi-tasking environment, enabling manual joystick control of radar system antenna.• Implemented system and application software supporting CAD and Technical Publications groups’ use of VAX and Intergraph software.

• Constructed and evaluated prototypes and designed nuclear instrumentation cables and transducers. This included field installation and evaluation in nuclear reactors.• Developed FORTRAN programs to calculate cable bend schedules, enabling the production of semi-rigid microwave cables to customer-specified geometrical configurations.• Greatly improved microwave connector designs by developing FORTRAN program to numerically solve Poisson's equation in cylindrical coordinates and apply Fourier mode-matching techniques.
