WHAT I DO: I provide desktop support for IT companies, and I separate myself from many other techs by being extremely down to earth, constantly friendly, and able to explain pretty much everything in Layman's terms to clients. I'm typically someone you want in front of VIPs.HOW I DO IT: I do it by constantly stopping myself whenever I come close to speaking a bunch of tech babble. I stay constantly up to date on new tech and procedures by always staying in the loop with news. I also have a constant drive to always want to apply what I learn to my work and hobbies.WHO I WORK WITH: I work with IT companies that specialize in remote work, if you have a job where I can connect to clients from anywhere then you have a great person to recruit here.MY BACKGROUND:I grew an interest in IT while in college at the University of Hartford. I started out as a student employee and in under a year I became a faculty employee in the IT department where I was in charge of managing student employees, installing faculty computers, and troubleshooting faculty issues on campus. My main priorities was setting up the entire school with the Windows 7 upgrade. After graduating I continued to work for the IT departments of Aetna, United Health Care, CSC and Otis. I got my start working at Aetna’s help desk and within a couple weeks (still in training) I was moved to the department that handles the toughest calls. Upon leaving I was claimed by management to be “One of the few guys that really knows what he is doing”. While at United Health Care I worked on the help desk where I resolved 70% of issues (50% was considered excellent) I was told by management that they have never seen numbers as good as mine throughout the years of them working there. After leaving United Health Care I proceeded to work at CSC where I was the head tech in charge of the XP Elimination Project. I wrote the manual and I was in charge of micro managing 3 other employees . Afterwards I started working at Connecticare with their desktop support in upgrading all of their computers to Windows 7. Within the first month I upgraded the most computers the company has ever seen since the project was started. I then worked with Travelers for a few years monitoring and troubleshooting their thousands of VMs and Network devices, in fact with that position I had 0 experience in the field but I picked it up so quickly that I was on the phone within 1 week after working (training is usually 1 month) and within 3 months I was one of the strongest automation employees there. Currently I work for CBTG
