As one of the 5 person leadership team, I was responsible for the complete development of all marketing initiatives at StratusLIVE including creative dircetion, brand development, web development, web design, awareness, search engine optimization, email marketing, traditional marketing, digital media development and delivery, customer experience, lead generation, and sales support through the development and execution of the marketing plan, business development and corporate communications. Developed and implemented extensive analytics programs, KPIs, and data-driven programs. Other activities included collaboration on HR, business analysis, product development, user experience (UX), private equity & investor relations, board communications, corporate communications, Microsoft partnership program, strategic partnerships, and CRM empowered sales enablement.

First Light Productions, Inc. developed, hosted and maintained software, websites, database driven websites and web applications.Our clients included nonprofit, distribution, industrial, real estate, medical, apparel, and other types of companiesWhile we provided many services to our clients, our forte was business process consulting to generate revenue and maximize profitability.We hosted our first custom SaaS applications for clients as early as 1997 and we were streaming video on client websites by 1998.In 1996, we developed a screen saver which sold over a million copies in bookstores nationwide.On several occasions, we consulted with clients, assessed/defined process needs and built integrated planning systems (ERP).In addition to designing and building technology solutions, we also provided full marketing services such as branding, graphic design for print and direct response, copywriting, messaging, and email communications.

Worked with individual, corporate and institutional donors to support major initiatives.

Managed university’s major gifting efforts in the southeast. Took over a dormant territory with low production and few major donors. Utilized a range of prospect research, network-based marketing strategies increasing major donor base to over 100 giving units and had territory “on-track” with significant commitments of cash, non-cash and deferred gifts. Relied on effective listening skills and relationship selling to create synergies between university and donor goals.Initiated and managed high-visibility, no cost (sponsor paid), volunteer driven networking events. These social/educational gatherings produced a steady flow of new potential relationships and were directly responsible for some substantial first-time gifts.

At EZ Storeroom, we broker brand new, never installed surplus industrial parts. We also had access to hundreds of industrial lines through our registered sellers.I was the system architect of an innovative e-commerce platform for managing/facilitating the sale of surplus inventories of a range of industrial parts. The system incorporated numerous technologies to meet diverse needs of both the buyer and seller, including the ability to purchase from multiple sellers on a single order.

At Marzac, we manufactured, custom clean and sterile medical kits for hospitals and home health agencies.Some examples include IV start, admissions, laceration trays, G-Tube Irrigation and precipitous delivery. When a client needed something we could not manufacture, we would source for them.In addition to private health care, we also won contracts with several state facilities for kits, trays and disposable ancillary supplies.

DaHil provided financial auditing services for hospitals, seeking additional Medicare reimbursement from settlement reports.Developed a prospect list and performed in-depth pre-call research on hospital revenue patterns under Medicare reimbursement system. Sold reimbursement consulting services, at the highest levels of hospital management, and exceeded forecasts by signing contracts with 6 hospitals worth over $9 million in top-line revenue in just 6 months.

Started on assembly line and quickly assumed supervisory responsibility at medical supply company. Took initiative to implement “lean” type changes including reorganizing raw material delivery/medical kit packing order and also created a lighthearted work environment. Efforts doubled production on the line and were replicated throughout the plant.As Special Projects Manager, recognized the opportunity, researched the market and conceived the idea/managed development and launch of a new G-Irrigation kit (Medicare Part B) and an IV Starter Kit (Medicare Part A). Both kits met Medicare standards and enjoyed instant success. Overall successfully launched these 2 products and contributed to several other products in a 3 month period.While in Accounting, I worked with the IT department to create an automated reports program to support Joint Venture partner reports and documentation. This program reduced the accounting department's labor requirements by more than 150 man hours per month.Selected as account manager for company’s entry into Home Health Care market. Developed/implemented a marketing strategy and rose to the #2 producing sales person in the company within one year. Relied heavily on market research and cold-call prospecting that among other benefits produced 26 new accounts in a 60-day period.

Recruited to manage construction/start-up and subsequently direct daily operations of 50’s theme restaurant. Supervised build out, helped locate/purchase/refurbish vintage equipment, wrote operations manual, developed pricing strategy, established quality/performance standards and recruited/trained all staff. Completed facility build-out on schedule and within budget and doubled first year sales forecast.Enjoyed success/gained valuable management experience at local outlets of 2 well-know chain restaurant operations. Turned around a poorly performing pizza outlet by restoring customer confidence, reversed a loss trend and produced a $2,500 swing in weekly profitability.Met all sales and operations goals at 24/7 breakfast eatery.
