My degree in English has involved writing three to four assignments each term that are up to 6,000 words, as well as creating and editing video and audio projects. I have honed my skills of writing clearly and concisely and have developed a skill in critical analysis. Each of my essays are supported by my extensive research and planning. I have graduated with a second upper class honours.

I was employed within the hospitality sector at Marks and Spencers, in two different style cafes. This was my first experience within a large corporate organisation and I learned a lot about team work and enhanced my people skills in a very busy environment.•I worked both quickly and precisely as both cafes were very popular with a constant flow of customers.•I was skilled at working under pressure and meeting the needs of both my co-workers and customers. I was always conscious that I should appear calm and receptive towards customers irrespective of how busy the cafe was.•I became adaptable to change in the workplace as I would often have to switch between the cafes within in the store, with each cafe having a different set of needs and customer expectations.

I worked within the retail shop at Banham Zoo which also operated as a customer service point. •I had to adopt a lot of responsibility within this role. This job enabled me to learn how to effectively balance and prioritise different responsibilities appropriately as I had to take on roles from customer service to stock taking. •People skills were key in this role as I dealt with up to 2000 customers a day. This taught me how to balance the needs of multiple customers at once whilst keeping composed and hospitable.

I undertook this joint role in a popular local café, taking orders, making the drinks, serving the food and taking payments.

My first paid employment and exposure to a pressurised environment, where I worked as a dishwasher and kitchen porter.
