Promoted to oversee southern Nevada outreach and communications programs in addition to stewardship, act as a liaison to the leadership team and regional board members, and supervise all regional staff. Involved leading a team of 2 - 7 people, managing all regional funding sources, and representing the organization with stakeholders.Highlights include: - Receiving the Bureau of Land Management's annual Making a Difference "Group Excellence" award in 2021, having been nominated by the Southern Nevada District of the Bureau of Land Management.- Leading efforts to complete rebuilding the 5.6-mile Griffith Peak Trail in the high elevations of Mt. Charleston Wilderness, which was devastated by the 2013 Carpenter 1 Fire.- Receiving the Coalition for Recreational Trails' Annual Achievement Award for outstanding use of Recreational Trails Program funds in the Public-Private Partnerships and Access to/Use of Public Lands category, for the Griffith Peak Trail rebuild project.- Launching a springs stewardship program that engaged volunteers to collect important groundwater data from springs on public lands.- Starting the organization's Inclusion, Diversity, Equity, and Access team.
