In 2013 I was selected to appear on American survival series "SOS Island", hosted by "Survivorman" Les Stroud, with 15 others contestants from around the world. Through a combination of my survival skills and social media know-how, I won.My prize was a Caribbean Island. I stayed on the island for three years, living the off-grid dream: solar power, rain water collection, growing my own food and fishing. In that time I wrote three books about my travels and built "Jinja Island" up as a boutique tourist destination.

THE ODYSSEY EXPEDITION was the first successful journey to every country in the world without flying.That's 201 countries across 6 continents over the course of 4 years, including DR Congo, Somalia, Afghanistan and North Korea using only buses, trains, bush taxis and ships. I did it alone, on a shoestring budget and with no professional support. I set two brand new Guinness World Records, one for the most countries visited in one year without flying (133), another for the fastest journey to all countries using only scheduled ground transportation (4 years and 1 month). At the time I was also the youngest person to visit every country (flying or non-flying) and the person to do it for the least amount of money (~£7,500 p.a.).It was an adventure of a lifetime, I was thrown in jail in Africa (twice), climbed to the top of the Great Pyramid of Giza, travelled 650km over open ocean in a leaky wooden canoe, drank with the Prime Minister of Tuvalu, joined a Bwiti tribe in Gabon and was rescued from Islamic fundamentalists by a ladyboy called Jem.Along the way I raised over £10,000 for the charity WaterAid, as well as filming and presenting "Lonely Planet's The Odyssey" (aka "Graham's World"), an 8x30min TV series produced by Lonely Planet, commissioned by National Geographic and distributed by BBC Worldwide. "The Odyssey" has been screened in over 50 countries worldwide, including South Africa, India, China, Australia and the USA.

I was the presenter of "Lonely Planet's The Odyssey" aka "Graham's World", an eight-part series which I filmed and presented along the way on my record-breaking journey to every country in the world without flying.

Hydra Studios was a Liverpool-based production company which specialised in music videos, live event photography, actor showreels, corporate films and quirky shorts. In 2005 my short "Jedi Knight Out" won the MTV Star Wars short competition and in 2006 another short, "Day of the Jackanape" won the inaugural Liverpool 48 Hour film challenge.During my tenure at Hydra we worked with clients as diverse as Arctic Monkeys, World Challenge, Asda, Joe Calzaghe and the prestigious Liverpool Institute of Performing Arts (LIPA). We also attracted the attention of Lonely Planet TV, which lead directly to me embarking on The Odyssey Expedition in December 2008.
