I'm a bay area software engineer, proficient in design and construction of cloud-based data pipelines and full-stack software systems. I have a Masters degree in Computer Science from UC Santa Cruz and several years of industry experience, primarily working on small teams in design and architecture roles. My experience is primarily in AWS, but my design mindset tends towards cloud-agnostic strategies, focusing more on underlying technologies rather than specific cloud offerings.I've built highly scalable data pipelines and data warehouses, leveraging tools such as Apache Spark and Delta Lake. I have extensive experience with SQL and RDBMS, and some experience with NoSQL systems such as DynamoDB and Cassandra. I regularly use IAC tools such as AWS Cloudformation and AWS CDK to consistently structure and provision architecture. I've built complex frontend applications and am highly proficient with Javascript. I've also used frontend frameworks such as React and Angular to structure larger projects. I've built a wide variety of backend systems from monolithic Django applications to serverless Lambda/API Gateway setups.
