Current-Attended a 6 month long academy with a vigorous physical regiment along with in depth schooling -Provide for public safety by maintaining order, responding to emergencies, protecting people and property, enforcing motor vehicle and criminal laws, and promoting good community relations-Review facts of incidents to determine if criminal act or statute violations were involved-Work under stressful, high-risk conditions. Remain abreast of all federal and state laws, and ordinances-Maintained all certifications through training to keep all qualifications current while employed-Handled confidential information on a daily basis-Patrolled designated areas in patrol cars and on foot-Responded to various high stress calls including both medical and criminal related calls-Provide first aid as a certified Emergency Medical Technician on medical emergency calls for service-Independently conducted investigative functions to detect violations of criminal, civil, administrative laws and regulations; and demonstrated in-depth knowledge of physical security standards and practices-Wrote detailed reports and warrants on arrests made, activities performed, and incidents observed -Gathered preliminary investigation information as a first-responder to crime scenes and accidents-Directed traffic during emergency incidents and city-planned events-Conducted interviews of victims and possible suspects regarding to criminal activity along with civil complaints-Communicated with all citizens during calls for service taking an active role in Community Oriented Policing-Exhibited organizational skills, adaptability and flexibility to changing priories and demands-Provided effective communication and customer service in cultural and diverse environments
