My position involves design engineering in support of our nuclear fusion group.

My primary role was the development and design of components and systems critical to the success of automating an existing manufacturing line which was projected to save over three quarters of a million dollars annually. I utilized cost effective design methodologies for parts of various manufacturing techniques along with design analysis tools to help.

I was promoted within two years from the Engineer 1 role. The primary focus while in this role was the software validation of automated equipment with extensive custom software. This included developing software requirements for the equipment, troubleshooting the software, and creating the installation/acceptance testing procedure to validate the equipment.

One of my areas of focus was the research and development of a medical device accesory. Other areas of focus were process engineering related, such as equipment qualification, manufacturing fixture design, and non conformance investigation and review.

I was the team leader for a senior design project which developed a solar powered atmospheric water generator which employed a unique approach to the water production cycle. We took the design from my concept, to a working prototype which validated the approach and achieved a 1st place finish out of 65 teams at the CSUF College of Engineering and Computer.
