Grant has 33 years experience in the Production Management and Fabrication Industry. After completing his tertiary education and training at Toyota South Africa, he joined the dynamic team of Barrows Design and Manufacturing where he has spent a total of 24 years with them and has been afforded the opportunity to Head up Production and lead a very dynamic and diverse team of people through the production lifecycle of product fabrication. As a lateral thinker he has the ability to problem solve on the fly finding some innovative solutions to often complex challenges. It is for this reason that Grant was identified to oversee and remediate on some special and strategic projects over the years. These include but are not limited to :Specialist Projects (Barrows)- Establishment of the Turkey Operations - Factory Powder Coating and Quality Control Systems Implementation- Quality Control of Prototypes for British American Tobacco (BAT) for sign-off for production approval into Europe (From the Turkey Factory)- Duracell – Sign-Off with head of QC from Belgium on Quality Control Sytems and Units before manufacture into Europe (From the Turkey Factory)- Kenya – Assessment of Potential Manufacturing and Production Facilities in Kenya for production into Africa- USA – Enterprise Level and Complex POS Installations for Coca-Cola in America (Multiple Stores)- Mauritius – Conducted Specialist Training on premise for the Cadbury Installation Team for the Launch into Mauritius- Trade Reach (A subsidiary of Barrows) – Travelled across country to train Trade Reach personnel on correct assembly process and appropriate selection of tool choices.- Fit-for-Purpose installation and training for SAB, Revlon, Plascon and othersSpecialist Projects (Toyota)- Part of the Goshi Team for the Launch of the new Camry (2 years)- Part of the Goshi Team for the Launch of the new Conquest Face Lift Key Responsibilities- Responsible for the overall End to End production planning and delivery of the fabrication of the Point of Sale Displays.
