Almost 15 years ago I took a chance on an internship at a young and exciting IT hardware company called Arbitech. I was finishing up my economics degree at UC Irvine and was extremely green when it came to the corporate world. Despite my lack of experience, I could tell very early on that this was a place I wanted to be.Throughout the years, both the company and I have progressed in immeasurable ways. In essence, we’ve “grown up” together. Nowadays, Arbitech is a well-established and well-known company, while I’m married with a toddler running around… who could have seen that coming?!Sometimes, it’s shocking when I realize that I have worked at Arbitech for almost half my life but, in actuality, it hasn’t felt all that long. Every day in this industry brings new challenges and opportunities, so it’s impossible to get bored. The ability to be creative coupled with the amount of autonomy the company provides ensures that every day is fulfilling. Bringing in additional products, developing various supply chains, finding different outlets, maximizing efficiency, and continually developing our team...these are all things that I look forward to on a daily basis.I’m humbled to say that I have gone from intern to VP to partner. It’s as much of a credit to the opportunity that Arbitech provides, as it demonstrates the commitment I have to the organization and my colleagues...many of which I still work alongside. Looking back, I see an incredible ride with a company that has thrived for over 20 years, but when I look to the future, it’s even brighter!At this point, it might go without saying, but I’m always searching for new suppliers and partners as well.
