Responsible for working closely with the client on floodplain inundation mapping, civil engineering design and construction projects, surveying of project sites, creating detailed plans, completing hydrologic and hydraulic analysis, developing cost estimates, etc.Duties:• Project manager of engineering projects including stream restoration, road decommissioning, floodplain grading, fish ladder retrofit, floodplain inundation mapping, fish passage barrier removal, etc.• Open channel hydraulic analysis and designo 1-Dimensional (HEC-RAS) hydraulic model development: steady and unsteady flow applicationso Hydrologic model development (HEC-HMS) and calibration • Project involvement includes project procurement, development of construction documents, drafting of construction plans, and construction inspection• Fish passage and habitat enhancement analysis and design• Stream bank and profile stabilization design; incorporating boulder weirs, logs, and other bioengineering techniques.• River and stream restoration design• Land surveying• Topographic map development• Construction staking and record surveys
