As Vice President of Operations it is my responsibility to over see the Operations Manager and lead the operations team to provide safe reliable natural gas service to over 8600 residential and commercial customers. I am responsible for the operations department daily work and the training department in all aspects of operation including pipe fusing, equipment operation, metering and regulation etc. My daily responsibilities also include product procurement, federal and state code compliance, safety administration, construction inspection, employment interviews and annual reviews. I work directly with human resources in regards to employee hiring, periodic performance evaluations etc.

I have been very involved with MEA for the past 20 years attending many conferences and meetings. I joined the Distribution Committee in 2007 and was Committee Chair from 2011 to 2012.

Worked on Natural Gas Pipeline installations. API 1104 Certified welder, fused plastic pipe up to 12", qualified equipment operator (plows, bulldozer, backhoes) Journeyman Member Local 601 Pipe Fitters. I was promoted very quickly while on the pipeline and was managing my crew while doing the welding on high pressure natural gas pipeline.

I was sworn into the US Military (Minnesota National Guard Infantry) on my 17th birthday with parental consent. I was a very motivated teenager following in the footsteps of my father and older brother wanting to serve our country. I was able to spend my summer after high school at a wonderful camp known as Fort Benning GA. In 1992 I was honorably discharge after satisfying my commitment and my career was requiring me to travel and getting home for weekend drill duty had become a daunting task. I learned a lot in the military and my time enlisted taught me an incredible work ethic and the ability to work as a team and manage others.
