I've worked in the education, health and local government sectors over the past 20 years. I enjoy working independently or as part of a team. I value developing public policy that creates supportive environments for people and that enables wellbeing and quality of life for communities.I enjoy strategic thinking and working alongside other organisations to identify and implement policy actions that are of mutual benefit.Examples of achievements which I have been a part of include:- Working with other organisations to establish the Waikato Rural Transport Forum (Waikato DHB/Waikato Regional Council; 2009-11) -Project managed the completion of the well being impact assessment on the draft 2010 Waikato Regional Land Transport Strategy (Waikato Regional Council -under secondment from Waikato DHB; 2009-10)-Project management the completion of the 2015 Waikato Regional Land Transport Plan (Waikato Regional Council; 2014-15)-Policy lead for the development and implementation of the Waikato Future Proof Growth Management Strategy, and National Policy Statement on Urban Development Capacity implementation (Waikato Regional Council; 2011- 2017)
