Field Projects Director
CurrentI am the Director of multiple agricultural non-point source pollution control projects in watersheds in the Midwest As the Field Projects Director, I am responsible for the design, implementation and operation of resource inventory, farmer relations, monitoring and best management practices protocols in multiple watersheds. In cooperation with USGS and other entities, I manage and maintain a detailed agricultural runoff and in-stream water quality monitoring infrastructure projects. I am the field operations manager for an innovative Pay for Performance approach to reduce the loss of phosphorus from agricultural fields. This approach is being tested under a grant for the Great Lakes Protection Fund. I am responsible for developing proposals and budgets for funding opportunities to work on non-point source pollution control efforts. Through these efforts I have become involved in discussions with local, state and federal agencies and NGOs about new and innovative ways to identify, address, and reduce the impact of non-point source pollution on our water resources.
