Energetic products include initiators, detonators, rocket motors, small thrusters, pyro valves, pin pullers, pin pushers, gas generators, explosive bolts, and separation nuts. Measurement methods include static and dynamic pressure, force, temperature, displacement, acceleration, electrical signals, and high speed video.

Worked with customers, interpreted specifications, managed qualification testing, and contributed in the transition of products from development to production. Managed the design engineering test laboratory. Supervised technicians, worked with production, engineering, EH&S, and customers to ensure safe, accurate and timely completion of development and qualification test programs. Tests included electrical, mechanical, thermal, and environmental. Managed SDI’s material reporting into the automotive international material data system (IMDS). Worked with SDI’s suppliers and automotive customers to ensure accurate and timely submission of SDI products into the IMDS.
