As an Adjunct Faculty member at Mount Saint Mary’s University, I teach the course "Teacher Leadership in Professional Development." My responsibilities include:Designing and delivering a graduate-level course focused on equipping future educational leaders with the skills to effectively formulate, develop, and execute professional development programs at their school sites.Facilitating discussions and activities that enhance participants' understanding of best practices in professional development, including needs assessment, program design, implementation strategies, and evaluation methods.Providing mentorship and guidance to educators in refining their leadership skills, with an emphasis on collaborative approaches to school-wide improvement.Assessing student performance through a variety of formative and summative assessments, ensuring a rigorous academic experience that aligns with the university's standards.Staying current with research and trends in educational leadership and professional development to ensure the course content remains relevant and impactful.This role allows me to contribute to the professional growth of educators while applying my expertise in educational leadership and teacher development.

Induction Coach, responsible for supporting the growth and development of beginning teachers. In addition to mentoring, coaches provide professional development for teachers in areas such as class culture and climate, implementing instructional strategies, classroom management, analyzing student work, differentiated instruction, and supporting ELL and students with special needs.

Supervise certified and non-certified personnel, Assurance of compliance with state regulations, development of in-house self-contained special education program and creative cost reduction initiatives to better serve our school and our students. Ran all department meetings, Distributed relevant materials and mandates to teachers and monitor progress on the various mandates, Supervised paraprofessionals, clinicians and special education teachers, Responsible for providing services indicated on student IEPs. Demonstrated subject matter knowledge of and presented logically structured lessons. Utilized assessment results from psychological and academic reports. Prepared daily lesson plans utilizing a variety of specialized instructional techniques. Provided students with specialized instruction based on their unique needs. Monitored each student’s progress utilizing data reflecting their performance. Maintained appropriate classroom control and directed learning tasks. Reduced the overall number of students with D’s and F’s in the general education setting through the collaborative teaching model in the area of biology. Also increase in student standardized test scores, higher percentage of students scoring proficient to advanced on CST’s.

Take lead responsibility to oversee and address various operational issues (e.g., maintenance, finances, security, architectural review, etc.). In addition, Committees and Task Forces can be formed as necessary to address special topics. Manage and oversee $400,000 annual budget.

Appointed by the Mayor and the City Council members to the Block Club Commission that acts as an advisory body to the City Council to organize, coordinate and oversee new Block Clubs. Attend Block Club meetings to keep the Council informed of Block Club meetings and activities.

Responsibilities include instructing school aged youths in reading, writing, speaking English, basic mathematical calculations so they might solve problems well enough to become active participants in society, to hold a job, and to further their education. Taught students who were below an eighth-grade reading level. Provided help and encouragement through interactive books, games, and activities.
