I provide media relations for clients as well as "pitch" stories to the media for a variety of non-profit and business clients.What I do:• Develop comprehensive internal and external strategic communications plans, which increase client recognition and visibility among key stakeholders. Plans include media research, story idea development, and timelines, and other strategies as needed.• Create media kits, write news releases, develop Q&A sheets and background material, including photographs, for clients.• Cultivate relationships with the media (print, radio, television, social media); pitch story ideas and position clients as professional experts In their field.• Manage crisis communication situations, including internal management with client executives, and external relations with members of the media. • Plan, coordinate, and implement client events, including press conferences, fundraising activities, grand openings, ribbon-cuttings, etc.• Research, build and maintain media lists, and maintain editorial calendars for all clients.• Write, edit and place op-ed pieces, guest columns, scripts, public service announcements (PSAs) and letters to the editor for print, radio and television.• Conduct media training and development corresponding materials (i.e. talking points, media tips) for client executives and staff.•
