Avail Services is a small professional services company offering a range of ITS, tolling and general technology systems consulting/contracting services with a specific focus on the transport infrastructure environment.Past assignments include: - Tolling System Audit: Provision of a complete due diligence service for Rivercity Motorway Pty Ltd in the development of a tolling system audit report for the purpose of placement in the data room associated with the sale of the asset (Brisbane's Clem7 Toll Tunnel). The report was to be utilised by potential purchasers of the asset within their own due diligence processes.

Responsibilities:o Specification of business requirements, development and execution of test plan for ANZ eGate credit card web-based payment interface solution.o Development of analysis, reconciliation and reporting processes for customer payment transactions via multiple interfaces (credit card via ANZ Online Credit Verification, Paypal, QPAY, BPAY, EFTPOS, Direct Debit, Cheque, Cash). o Process and data integrity risk analysis of end-to-end customer payment channels, and development of applicable risk mitigation strategies.o Development and improvement of business processes associated with customer payment, refunds and dishonoured payments.o Review of Tolling System / General Ledger Interface to ensure integrity and appropriateness of resultant journals.o Provision of high-level accounting and customer payment process advice and skills across various functional areas of the business.Achievements:o Successful design and establishment of a complex reconciliation and cash management process covering multiple systems, multiple customer payment channels, multiple bank accounts and multiple entities.o Successful end-to-end review of the delivered customer payment interfaces, Tolling System and General Ledger Interface solutions. This review successfully identified various process issues and defects, and resulted in development of effective controls and solution recommendations for vendor rectification.o Development of effective business process documentation associated with the customer payments and general ledger interface.o Successful development and succession of Reconciliations Accountant and Reconciliations Assistant roles.

Responsibilities:o Development, management and maintenance of Aurora’s contract billing capability to comply with National Electricity Market and business requirements.o Design and Implementation of Interval billing function in new billing system (Oracle Customer Care & Billing and complex billing spreadsheet models where relevant).o Business case financial modelling, vendor assessments, initial business process & requirements gathering in support of initiation phase of Billing System Replacement project. o Ensuring integrity and continuous improvements in efficiency and effectiveness of system, reporting and processes associated with contract billing lifecycle.o Ensuring billing capability of emerging products (Cogeneration, OPS, Embedded Generation, Spot-Based).o Provide high-level contract billing advice and skills across various functional areas of the business. o Establish effective working relationships with other members of the Customer Services Group and other Aurora Retail groups.o Liaise with Sales and marketing group to reflect contract conditions in customer billings.Achievements:o Highly developed knowledge of the National Electricity Industry and variety of complex product offerings.o Successful design and implementation of Oracle Customer Care and Billing Interval Billing solution:o Significantly more timely and accurate customer billing KPIs than predecessor systemo Incorporating complex contract (OPS, generation and spot-based pricing) billing capabilityo No notable defectso Successful development of a competent and professional contract billing capability – resources, systems, reports and processes.o Facilitation and presentation skills developed via facilitating approximately 20 x 2-day residential Will To Grow programs to over 300 employees. o Financial reconciliation review and process improvements, including a resultant back-claim of almost $600k and ongoing $100k per annum savings in GST on net bad debts.
