Energy management is a big part of the position by adjusting schedules to save as much energy as possible. At this site it is full service so we take care of everything from rekeying door locks to plumbing repairs and working on HVAC. The site has lot of newer equipment all the way to pneumatics in some of the older buildings. Customer service skills are very important at this site because of the diversity of tenants we have. Most of my day to day activities include replacing fan motors, contactors, and maintaining HVAC rooftop unit. Another part of our job is to try an keep a tight schedule so we can qualify for energy star. We also monitor our progress thru Portland General Electric's website to track daily and weekly activity. This is very important to use because it can tell you if a unit has been running all weekend when it is not suppose to be.
