About Greg Stewart

After a long and successful career in insurance, I took the opportunity of voluntary redundancy which allowed me to retrain as a surveyor. I am interested in both current building design and new methods to improve energy efficiency and also in ways to improve energy efficiency in traditional buildings, which is a personal interest. After a 5 year part time secondment to work on a Conservation Area Regeneration Scheme as the Energy Officer, I have now taken up a secondment as Economic Advisor in the Town Centre team.I hold full membership with the Chartered Association of Building Engineers.I have been interested in the paranormal since I was a child (partly fuelled by my interest in historic buildings) and recently opted to write about various places I have visited. Initially I independently published my work prior to having the opportunity to write for the History Press and then local history books for Amberley Publishing.
