About Greg Valerio Mbe

Pioneering ethical practices and markets for jewellery makers, high street companies, artisanal small-scale miners, and indigenous communities in gold and gemstones. I have spent more than 25 years launching standards committees, constructing traceable supply chain delivery, shaping non-profits into for-profit social ventures, and advocating the ‘why’. I'm currently researching a first-of-its-kind social enterprise, PeaceGold, turning conflict minerals into peace minerals sourced from the DRC and expanding into conflict affected regions with HQ in the UK.Subject matter expert in Fair Trade, traceable supply chains, mercury eradication in ASM gold, health, and child labour. Published author and honoured with an MBE for services to Fairtrade in Africa and South America.
