I am a highly passionate, enthusiastic, detail oriented, and experienced geologist, mineralogist, and crystallographer. I have 22 years of experience in quantitative X-Ray Diffraction analysis for mineralogy, scale remediation, cement processes, unknown solid phase analysis, and corrosion mechanisms. I have 22 years of performing preventative maintenance, calibrations, and repairs of X-Ray Diffraction equipment including circuit boards, high voltage cables and X-Ray tubes or rotating anodes. I have 22 years of experience performing all other lab maintenance. I have extensive knowledge of OSHA, NRC, and DOT regulatory and safety practices and worked at an OSHA VPP star site for 12 years. I have 12 years of experience as radiation safety officer and am certified DOT for radioactive materials shipping and receiving.X-Ray Diffraction Lab Manager. Coordinate and train technicians in safe and efficient sample handling and preparatory responsibilities. Verify and validate standard operating procedures and safe work practices are being followed by technicians while performing daily laboratory tasks. Coordinate sample throughput with emphasis on efficient turnaround times to exceed the asset team’s needs. Use proprietarily written and commercial software to provide best analysis to fit the business needs. Integrate cation exchange capacity into QXRD report to assist with clay modeling. Integrate organic chemistry and inducted coupled plasma mass spectrometry data for petrophysical modeling. Perform monthly equipment calibration. Assist with tours of the lab. Perform Isolation of Hazardous Energy (LOTO) on equipment for repair. Write JSA, permit to work, and any other permitting to ensure safe operation during repairs. Perform crystallographic measurements on scale to validate predicted modeling and on corrosion mechanisms to mitigate issues for materials and facility engineers.
