Blue Bull Consulting (BBC) provides solutions for Meat Production and Processing by working to analyse, design and fit-out facilities with the processing equipment and systems it needs to function effectively. In 2023 I joined the BBC team as a Senior Project Manager.I have more than 30 years of red meat processing industry experience, being particularly strong in the engineering and management aspects for beef, pork and hide processing. I continually seek to enhance my professional development with qualifications such as an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, an Advanced Diploma in Meat Processing as well as numerous engineering-based qualifications.Before joining BBC, I spent some time in the research and development corporation (RDC) sector, previously at Meat and Livestock Australia (MLA) and more recently at Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC), to utilise my skills gained from over 3 decades in the red meat processing industry to drive innovation to ensure a sustainable Australian Red Meat Industry. Prior my time in the RDC sector I spent 30 years in industry at a red meat processing facility working in maintenance and engineering roles across all aspects of beef, pork and hide processing.I endeavour to promote a prosperous red meat processing industry in Australia by encouraging developments from incremental progress to transformational innovation whilst recognising the importance of strong relationships with all stakeholders for a sustainable industry.I came across this quote a long time ago and it really changed my approach to my career: My goal is no longer to be successful; it was earlier in my career but now my goal is to be valuable. I believe once you’re valuable instead of chasing success it will attract itself to you.

Greg has been working in the maintenance and engineering industry for 29 years. The knowledge and experience he has gained in conjunction with extensive studies has allowed him to develop from an apprentice fitter and machinist to his current position as Group Engineering Manager of NCMC.Greg has completed an Associate Diploma in Mechanical Engineering, Graduate Certificate in Meat Processing as well as undertaking numerous engineering based courses to enhance his professional development.Greg participates within the Meat & Livestock Australia (MLA) technical steering committees and Australian Meat Processor Corporation (AMPC) technical committee to provide recommendation and direction to AMPC Board for government and industry based funding for R&D projects, concepts and development.
