Provide support and input to the GR team on national and regional government relations initiatives.Communicate with members on public policy issues in order to understand their needs, identify the issues of top importance in British Columbia, receive member input and respond to member questions and requests.Build positive external relationships with government representatives, key legislators (representing all political parties) and other stakeholders to communicate RCC’s interests and public policy positions in British Columbia.Identify, create and act upon opportunities to promote RCC as the “Voice of Retail” in British Columbia. Act as the primary RCC contact for BC-based members to assist with and enhance the services provided by RCC’s membership team.Work with other business associations to strengthen the industry’s position on key issues through alliances, networks and coalitions.
