I develop front-end and back-end software and services. I use Java, Spring, Hibernate, Javascript, React, and Elasticsearch.I work on a Java application that aggregates 140+ million scholarly article metadata from multiple sources and indexes them in Elasticsearch. It utilizes Spring Boot, Spring Batch, Spring Data, MongoDB, and Elasticsearch.I developed a mobile and a desktop web app that allows library patrons to perform basic library catalog searching and library account management. The mobile app was wrapped using Cordova for deployment to the Google Play and iOS App Stores to allow a consistent user experience on both platforms.I worked on the integration of digital books and media with the library catalog. The software provides an interface to simplify the interaction between the library patron or library staff user and the various electronic media provider (such as Overdrive, cloudLibrary, Hoopla, and many others).I've progressed from Associate Software Engineer to Senior Software Engineer I. I take an active role in the architectural design of the products and services I work on.

I created and updated dynamic ASP.NET pages written in C# and VB. I created web-crawler and document parsing Ruby scripts to ingest product data. I managed IIS6 and IIS7.I set up and integrated a new SQL server and web server. I designed and implemented Javascript product filtering. I integrated a new client discount system with the preexisting website.I was able to improve the public and internal website functionality while helping the company move to newer technologies.

I worked both on server-side ColdFusion code and front-end HTML, CSS, and Javascript code. I utilized jQuery and server-side processing to create login functionality for the website. I used CSS and jQuery to meet design specifications across multiple web browsers.
