Facilities Manager
Current• Establish high standards of safety for all church facilities, buildings, grounds, and parking areas; confirming procedures are met, maintained, and updated as needed• Supervise all facilities staff (custodians, technicians, groundskeepers etc.) and external contractors• Prepare weekly schedules and allocate work, authorize overtime when required (one person from the facilities staff will be employed and present at the campus whenever programs or events are ongoing)• Inspect facilities periodically to determine the need for repairs or renovations and as required by local and state authorities, insurance carriers, and Church Trustees• Manage the upkeep of equipment and supplies to meet health and safety standards• Monitor inventory of materials and equipment • Control activities like parking space allocation, waste disposal, building security etc.• Create a preventive maintenance program for all buildings, equipment, parking areas and grounds across the Church Campus and implement the program directly through maintenance/custodial staff, service contracts, contracted labor, and/or church volunteer workers• When repairs or service work are required, evaluate and decide on appropriate course of action utilizing staff or outside service providers• Plan and coordinate all installations (telecommunications, heat, electricity etc.) and refurbishments• Determine long term needs for major repairs and improvements, informing leadership of upcoming needs• Document all work performed, installations, and repairs for warranty, insurance, and historical records• Contribute to the development of the annual budget as it relates to safety and maintenance of facilities, grounds, and equipment; and ensure compliance• Review utilities consumption and strive to minimize costs• Allocate office space according to needs• Handle insurance plans and service contracts• Ensure adherence to quality standards, health and safety regulations
