Greg Blum is co-founder of the Center for Wealth Preservation (CWP) and founder of the agency's Special Care planning division. Upon receiving his Bachelor of Science in Business Economics/Accounting from the State University of New York at Oneonta, he began his career as a tax accountant specializing in the areas of wealth creation and preservation.Since 1984, Greg has been an estate planner advising high-net-worth individuals as well as business owners with regard to Estate Taxation. In 2005, Mr. Blum retired from private practice which inspired him to build CWP. Mr. Blum teaches a practical approach to planning, the hallmarks of which are listening to a client’s specific needs, goals and objectives and designing unique, customized solutions around them. It is this approach combined with his technical background and almost 25 years of experience that has led to Greg’s consistent place among the industry’s leaders. He has qualified for many industry awards, on a personal level he was recognized with Lincoln’s prestigious Chairman’s Council award in 1998,as well as the five following years. Recently, his organization CWP received the Massachusetts Mutual Life Insurance Company (MassMutual) Crystal Achievement Award for its outstanding work in 2008. Over the years he has built positive relationships with numerous local advisors, and non-profit organizations. He remains resolute in his belief that it is possible to create a profitable business while also giving back to the community.
