I manage the California distribution warehouse for Vinyl Visions, the nation's largest manufacturer of vinyl products for window and door installation. I oversee the receiving, warehousing and distribution of products. I control inventory levels by conducting physical counts and analyzing sales data to predict customer needs. I complete warehouse operational requirements by scheduling and assigning employees and follow up on work results. I maintain warehouse staff job results by coaching, counseling and disciplining employees.

Vinyl Visions is the nation’s largest manufacturer of vinyl accessory extrusions for the window and door industry. I was promoted to this position after several years as their Operations Supervisor. In this position, I am responsible for overseeing receivables in excess of $14 million annually. My responsibilities include maintaining healthy cash flow and I have been successful in keeping receivables to record lows. I approve new clients for credit lines and audit existing customers. My position supports both the operations department and the sales force by providing current, accurate information, allowing them to make sound decisions regarding our clientele.

I was promoted to this position after 5 years as a customer service representative. In this role, I oversaw as many as 6 employees in various positions. I supervised those employees and their tasks in customer service, order processing, in-house delivery, outbound shipments and the will call office. I hired, trained and coached multiple employees, two of whom have now been promoted to the heads of their respective departments. I managed this department during the Great Recession while keeping attrition to a minimum, and streamlined internal processes to ensure profitability and customer satisfaction. I was integral to Vinyl Vision’s ability to bounce back from a struggling economy to where we are now, nearly doubling our annual sales. I achieved this by creating detailed reports for our sales force, highlighting key areas of growth. I supported the marketing team by editing all promotional items before going to market, ensuring quality control, and helped guide marketing strategies. I also managed relationships with multiple vendors, keeping costs down.

In my first position with Vinyl Visions, I was a Customer Service Representative. I would take orders, answer both generic and technical questions about our products, provide quotes, offer shipping options and resolve customer issues. I assisted the sales team by providing information and leads along with detailed sales reports.

I oversaw all shift employees, assigning tasks and ensuring accuracy. I directly handled customer interaction, counting tills, processed bank deposits, received new stock and reconciled existing inventory.
