Greg is the founder and Chairman Emeritus of Greycourt & Co., Inc., which provides wealth management services to ultra-high-net-worth families. Prior to founding Greycourt, Greg served for many years as president of a family office for the Mellon family office and as President of the Laurel Foundation. Prior to that he was an attorney with Reed Smith.Greg is the author of 18: Taking Down Nicky T, which is currently being serialized on the Kindle Vella platform. Over the years Greg has served on many investment committees for family and institutional investors, including the committees for Carnegie Mellon University, The Pittsburgh Foundation, St. John’s College, United Educators Insurance Co., Waycrosse, Inc. and Winchester Thurston School.Greg is currently Vice Chair of the Board of Directors of United Educators Insurance Co. and he is the Independent Director of the United States Steel and Carnegie Pension Fund (known as UCF); he is a past Chair of the Board of Directors of The Pittsburgh Foundation; past Chair of the Board of St. John's College (Annapolis and Santa Fe); co-founder and past Chair of the Board of The Investment Fund for Foundations; and has chaired or served on the boards of many other investment, educational and cultural organizations. Greg holds a BA degree from Dartmouth College, cum laude with high distinction in English, a JD degree from Harvard Law School, cum laude, and he is a graduate of The Endowment Institute at Harvard Business School. He also holds an honorary BA degree from St. John’s College.Greg has six children and lives in Pittsburgh with his wife, Simin, the founder and CEO of the American Middle East Institute.
