• PSA SDM Engineer – Working for the DDG 51 Program assisting the Hull Manager in the execution of PSA. Specifically, the SDM Engineer for DDG 113 responsibilites are to coordinate the planning and execution of PSA with the Hull Manager. The planning of the PSA includes tracking work items, creating statements of work, and reviewing work items once they are created. To execute a PSA the SDM engineer travels to the ships home port to status work items as they are being completed. The critical function during PSA is to ensure all work items are completed correctly and on schedule. While at the ships home port the SDM Engineer also tracks work items, creates statements of work, and reviews all work items created to fix any issues that are discovered during the PSA period.

Worked on the various stages of vessel design, maneuverability, specifications, and construction. Collaborated with cross-functional teams in ship engineering of characteristics such as passenger compartments, cargo specs, and elevators. Determined the form and stability of the ships hull, used complex mathematical and physical models to ensure satisfactory design, and undertook risk analysis assessment of the vessel. Schedule work on daily/weekly basis based on timelines.
